Abstract: 

T his article presents the consensus reached by a group of experts in complex wound care in Spain from 9 complex wound units accredited by the GNEAUPP on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Complex Wounds Unit at the Hospital de la Santa Creu de Vic, Vic, Barcelona. The document sets out organisational, care and strategic criteria for the creation and consolidation of complex wound units, with the aim of improving the quality of care, promoting territorial cohesion and encouraging research, teaching and innovation.
