She is a Physical Therapist from the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (2015), a Nurse from the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (2018), and holds a Master’s degree in Comprehensive Management and Research of Chronic Wounds in University of Cantabria (2019). She first started in the field of chronic wounds with the completion of the Final Degree Project (TFG) in collaboration with the TR2Lab research group.
As a wound-specialised nurse with a certification from the Spanish advisory group for the study of pressure ulcers and chronic wounds (GNEAUPP), Clara works in a Clinical Wound Unit of an intermediate hospital where, for two decades, has been focused on the treatment of difficult-to-heal ulcers with the application of advanced therapies. Thereby, their expertise lies in autologous therapies such as PRP therapy, having participated in a granted project, and punch skin graftings. The latter is due to her doctoral thesis “Observational study of the effect of therapy with punch skin graftings in the treatment of complex skin wounds” with an industrial doctorate and a research intensification grant.
Within the TR2Lab group, she develops her activity in the research line of wound healing innovation (November 2019-present), that have as a long-term goal to be capable of innovating in novel individualized therapies and in improving the assistance organizational processes to increase the rate of healing cutaneous chronic wounds in the Clinical Wound Unit.

TR2Lab was present at the EWMA 2026 Conference
TR2Lab was represented at the European Wound Management Association (EWMA) 2026 Conference by PhD candidate Clara Masó, who participated in this leading international event dedicated to advances in wound care, clinical practice, and translational research. This work was carried out with the collaboration of other members of TR2Lab, including Marta Casals-Zorita, Natàlia Palacio-Arronis, Marta Otero-Viñas and Marta Ferrer-Solà.
