Clara Masó, PhD candidate, participated on May 13 in the 9th edition of the competition “Present Your Thesis in 4 Minutes”, hosted by the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) in the context of the first European Doctoral Day.

The event brought together 14 doctoral students from 8 different PhD programmes, all taking on the challenge of explaining their research in just four minutes. The competition aims to promote clear, engaging, and accessible scientific communication, encouraging participants to present their work using only their oral communication skills.

This initiative highlights the importance of bringing research closer to society, fostering the dissemination of scientific knowledge, and developing essential communication and synthesis skills among early-career researchers.

Clara Masó Albareda’s participation in this competition was a valuable experience, offering an opportunity to share research with a broader audience and to further develop the ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise and understandable way.

The competition is supported by BBVA and is part of the broader initiative “Present your thesis in 4 minutes,” organized by the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació, with the participation of twelve Catalan universities.
