Last week, members of TR2Lab participated in the 13th Summer School of GNEAUPP (National Advisory Group for the Study of Pressure Ulcers and Chronic Wounds), held in Cuenca.

This participation reflects the ongoing commitment of the Clinical Wound Care Unit of Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic to research, innovation and excellence in the management of complex wounds.

Within the scientific programme, Clara Masó and Marta Ferrer contributed to the workshop “Autologous Skin Micrografts: Elements for Discussion”, a theoretical session focused on this advanced therapeutic approach. During the session, preliminary results from Clara’s doctoral research were presented, contributing to the discussion on the potential role of regenerative strategies in complex wound healing.

In parallel, Marta Casals presented the Clinical Wound Care Unit, highlighting its specialised, multidisciplinary care model. The presentation showcased the unit’s approach to managing complex wounds and its focus on patient-centred, evidence-based care.

During the event, Marta Casals was awarded the distinction of Excellent Expert in Wounds, in recognition of her professional trajectory and long-standing commitment to wound care.
