Director of care at Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic. She is Excellent expert in pressure ulcers and chronic wounds by Grupo Nacional para el Estudio y Asesoramiento de la Úlceras por Presión y Heridas Crónicas (GNEAUPP) and she obtained her Ph.D. working on wound healing.
Marta Ferrer’s research focuses on the development of the unit of chronic wounds of the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic has aimed to ensure a personalized treatment of patients with complex ulcers. Her current goals are oriented to identify and implement innovative techniques to help to reduce the healing time of chronic skin wounds.
Marta Ferrer is Ph.D. in Health, Welfare and Quality of Life (2017) by University of Vic – Central University Catalonia, is diplomate in nursing degree recognized by the Universitat Nacional de Educació a Distància (1997), specializing in pediatrics by the Ministerio de educación y Ciencia (2007), a specialist in geriatrics by the Ministerio de educación y Ciencia (2014). Master in Palliative Care by the Universitat of Barcelona (1998). Graduate in geriatrics by the Universitat de Vic (2003). Master in active aging at the Universitat de Vic (2012).
