Center for Studies and Research in Education (CRED)
The Center for Studies and Research in Education (CRED) is a research center at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), affiliated with the Faculty of Education, Translation, Sports and Psychology (FETEP).
The mission of CRED is to advance interdisciplinary research in education, promote collaboration among research groups, and foster the transfer of knowledge to the educational community and society.
The center integrates four research groups—GLOSSA, GRAD, GRECC, and GREUV—that work in complementary fields and develop research projects and collaborations on a national and international scale.
Objectives
- Promote interdisciplinary research in education, fostering synergies and collaboration among the center’s research groups.
- Foster participation in competitive national and international research projects, and establish alliances with other universities and institutions.
- To promote the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge through publications, conferences, and other venues for academic exchange.
- To promote the transfer and social impact of research, connecting the knowledge generated with the needs of educational institutions, government agencies, and society.
- To support the development of a research career, especially in the processes of training, consolidation, and scientific accreditation.
CRED Organization
CRED is organized through a director, a principal investigator, and a Council composed of the coordinators of the four research groups that make up the center.
This structure aims to facilitate coordination among groups, promote joint research and knowledge transfer initiatives, and foster new opportunities for national and international collaboration.
