Research groups and scientific expertise

CRED integrates four research groups with complementary expertise in the field of education. Its work covers language teaching and learning, inclusive education, knowledge construction, STEAM and arts education, and the analysis of educational policies and socio-educational realities.

The groups develop research and knowledge transfer projects in collaboration with universities, educational institutions, government agencies, and other organizations. This diversity of expertise fosters interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary educational challenges.

Glossa – Research Group in Applied Linguistics, Didactics, and Literature

GLOSSA investigates the teaching, learning, and use of languages, as well as literature, translation, and their educational and cultural dimensions. The group designs, implements, and evaluates studies and interventions in different educational contexts, from early childhood education to adult education, incorporating intercultural perspectives and digital technologies.

GRAD – Research Group on Attention to Diversity

GRAD investigates the processes of educational inclusion and the improvement of teaching and learning practices from a perspective of equity and participation. The group designs, implements, and evaluates educational initiatives focused on cooperative learning, teacher collaboration, inclusive assessment, and student participation in the transformation of schools.

GRECC – Group for Research in Knowledge Construction

GRECC investigates the processes of knowledge construction in different educational contexts, with special attention to STEAM education, the arts, critical thinking, and inclusion. The group designs, implements, and evaluates educational proposals that promote inquiry, interaction, and creativity, as well as the use of technologies and other resources to foster learning and access to knowledge.

GREUV – Educational Research Group

GREUV investigates the realities, practices, and socio-educational policies from an interdisciplinary, critical, and contextualized perspective. The group analyzes the relationships between education, society, community, and territory, and participates in the co-design and evaluation of educational initiatives and policies, incorporating the perspectives of children, youth, families, educational institutions, and government agencies.
