On November 29th, Ruth Vilardell received from La Fundació La Farga the second award “Vicenç Fisas i Comella”, instituted to support excellent thesis degree project.
With this award, the La Farga Foundation wants to promote: knowledge applied to social development, creativity as a basis for innovation and progress, and awareness for the care and sustainability of the environment.
Ruth Vilardell’s Nursing degree project title (original language Catalan) “El grau de coneixement i satisfacció dels pacients diabètics tipus 2 d’Osona amb el seu tractament farmacològic“.
Her degree thesis was part of one of the research projects developed in the research line health conditions and tissue regeneration led by Ph.D. Ester Goutan.

Dr. Anna Fàbrega Presents TR2Lab’s New Research Line on the Microbiome in Complex Wounds
Dr. Anna Fàbrega participated as an invited speaker at the I Jornada Ferides 360: experiència, coneixement i innovació - Parc Sanitari Sant Joan de Déu, where she presented TR2Lab’s new research line focused on the study of the microbiome in complex wounds. During her presentation, she introduced the multicentre project she leads, which aims to longitudinally analyse the intestinal and skin microbiome of patients with diabetic foot ulcers. Participation in the 13th GNEAUPP Summer School
Last week, members of TR2Lab participated in the 13th Summer School of GNEAUPP (National Advisory Group for the Study of Pressure Ulcers and Chronic Wounds), held in Cuenca. This participation reflects the ongoing commitment of the Clinical Wound Care Unit of Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic to research, innovation and excellence in the management of complex wounds. Within the scientific programme, Clara Masó and Marta Ferrer contributed to the workshop “Autologous Skin Micrografts: Elements for Discussion”, a theoretical session focused on this advanced therapeutic approach.
