Call for Papers

We invite researchers, practitioners, and professionals to submit proposals for the upcoming International Conference on Storytelling and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), which aims to provide a platform to critically examine the role of storytelling in ESG. The Conference seeks to explore how narratives can raise awareness, promote accountability, and inspire meaningful action toward sustainable and ethical futures.

ESG narratives are increasingly important for companies, organizations, institutions, and civil society, as they communicate commitments to sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical governance. Through storytelling, ESG practices gain legitimacy, transparency, and social resonance, shaping how actions are perceived and supported. The Conference will specifically explore the influence of narratives on environmental impact, social development, and good governance, with a focus on both established and emerging forms of ESG storytelling.

As a field that remains underexplored, the study of ESG narratives offers a unique opportunity to investigate how sustainable development is communicated and legitimized. By fostering this critical dialogue, the Conference aims to advance our understanding of how storytelling can drive meaningful, accountable, and transformative change.
