Advice, monitoring, and evaluation of XESVIC schools
Start: 24/11/2024- End:26/01/2025
Project reference: T-OU182413891
Since the 2015-2016 academic year, the Knowledge Construction Research Group (*GRECC) at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia has been collaborating with Vic City Council as part of a project to provide support and advice to schools that are part of the Vic Sustainable Schools Network (*XESVic). This collaboration has been ongoing over the years, with the aim of supporting educational centers in their task of consolidating and developing work related to sustainability from an educational and community perspective.
The transfer project takes the form of direct advice to schools in the network, both in coordinating and facilitating the annual seminar sessions and in providing personalized support to schools in designing, reviewing, and monitoring their action plans. This includes guidance for a newly joined school, support for several schools reviewing their commitments and projects, and overall monitoring of the activities of the fifteen participating schools.
In addition, GRECC collaborates in coordinating shared materials such as the XESVic itinerary guide and in conceptualizing new teaching resources adapted to the school environment. This task seeks to reinforce educational practices in schools by offering methodological support and spaces for joint reflection on the integration of sustainability work into everyday school life.
