L’escola a la universitat

The project “School at university: a new context for learning to be a teacher” (EU project) aims to contribute to improving the initial training of early childhood and primary school teachers through training experiences developed in real-life contexts within university classrooms.

The project will welcome students from four schools in Vic one day a week to the classrooms of the Faculty of Education at UVic-UCC to take part in teaching and learning activities designed by future teachers (FD) as part of specific degree courses.

The project aims to promote the opportunity to co-design a collaborative proposal for improving initial training among university professors and teachers at participating schools. It also aims to place children at the center of the educational process so that they learn to pay attention to their ideas, know how to interpret them, and act accordingly, acquiring skills through Responsive Teaching (RT).

One of the main challenges facing the project is to develop teachers’ digital competence in the teaching proposals that FD make to students, assessing their level of competence and raising awareness of how they can improve it.
