Project goals

Students from the Community College of Philadelphia and UManresa will collaborate in international teams to research and present on a real-world cross-cultural issue that affects how people work, communicate, manage, or even deliver customer service across different cultures. The project will focus on how cultural values shape business and tourism practices, particularly when comparing American and Spanish contexts.
Using examples from tourism and business, teams will:
1) Identify key cultural differences that influence professional behavior, communication, and service delivery.
2) Analyze how these differences affect workplace interactions, business negotiations, and tourism experiences.
3) Propose practical recommendations for successfully navigating cultural differences in international tourism and business settings
