Project goals

The goal of this COIL project is to bring together students from Community College of Philadelphia and UManresa to explore how businesses and service organizations operate in different parts of the world.

Through international teamwork, students will:

  • Compare how businesses in Spain and the U.S. manage operations, people, and customer experiences.
  • Examine how global trends like sustainability, technology, and innovation shape business decisions.
  • Strengthen their cross-cultural communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Create a short, creative presentation (video, infographic, or digital poster) that highlights their key findings and insights.

By the end of the project, students will better understand the connections between business operations and hospitality, the impact of culture on management and service, and how global thinking supports the goals of Quality Education (SDG 4) and sustainable business practices.
