Multidimensional analysis for personalized therapy with autologous platelet-rich plasma: longitudinal observational study in patients with complex wounds
This study has been awarded competitive funding from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III.
This is a competitive funding initiative that is part of Spain’s Strategic Action in Health, which is promoted by the Spanish Government. This program is managed by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), the primary public research funding agency for biomedical and health sciences in Spain. The FIS Call supports high-quality, impact oriented research projects designed to advance disease prevention, and treatment. It aims to enhance the performance of the healthcare system and facilitate the translation and application of scientific knowledge into clinical practice and public health policy.
This is an expanded study that builds on a previous project (2020) led by Dr. Marta Otero. The team includes physicians, nurses, biologists, chemists, and mathematicians, all working together to ensure proper patient care, rigorous data collection, and thorough integration, statistical analysis, and interpretation of all data. This project will strenghten TR2Lab’s partnership with the wound care unit at the Hospital de la Santa Creu de Vic to advance translational research with innovative therapies, thereby increasing TR2Lab’s impact on society.
