The MeCATronic Challenge is a robotics competition organized by Garrins Metàl·lics. This year, it took place on Saturday, March 7th. It was created with the goal of fostering collaboration and the exchange of experiences among the various teams from Catalonia participating in Eurobot. This initiative was born as a friendly gathering that allows teams to test their robots, detect potential errors, and refine their strategies before the official competition held in Alcalá de Henares.
Beyond the technical competition, the MeCATronic Challenge is distinguished by the atmosphere of camaraderie and learning that pervades the event. Participants share knowledge, solutions, and experiences, building a united community that is passionate about robotics.
The tournament follows the same format and regulations as Eurobot Spain, reproducing the real-world conditions of the competition. The teams compete against each other in various elimination rounds until a single winner is proclaimed, which symbolizes the spirit of excellence and innovation that defines the MeCATronic Challenge.
