PhD Marta Ferrer and Clara Masó, members of the TR2Lab, held a workshop about punch skin grafting at the VII Workshop on Wound Healing, celebrated in Vic, Catalonia, on June 16, 2023.

The “Jornada d’Atenció a les Ferides” is a scientific workshop organized by the Fundació Hospital de la Santa Creu de Vic (FHSC), Consorci Hospitalari de Vic (CHV) with the scientific support of the TR2Lab, IRIS-CC and the technical support of the “Fundació Osona per a la Recerca i l’Educació Sanitàries (FORES)” The main topic of the dissemination session is to give light to the improvement of the wound healing process. This year has taken place its 7th edition dedicated to atypical wounds: hematoma, suture dehiscence and systemic wounds.

The of the workshop held by Marta Ferrer and Clara Masó was “How and when to use punch skin grafting”(1). In their talk, they presented this advanced therapy that is being used at the Clinical Wound Unit of Fundació Hospital de la Santa Creu de Vic. Participants were able to practice this technique with a pig’s foot.
