The research line in Biomaterials for advanced therapies and regenerative medicine of TR2Lab, led by Dr. Albert Espona-Noguera, focuses on therapeutic innovation through a multidisciplinary approach through biomaterials.

This combines engineering, biotechnology, biomedical research and materials science for the design and development of biomaterials, thus opening new avenues and strategies towards advanced therapies and personalized medicine.

The potential applications of these biomaterials in the field of biomedicine include the controlled administration of drugs and therapeutic agents; the development of bioactive formulas for the regeneration of tissues and organs; as well as the creation of artificial models of pathologies to study pathological processes and evaluate new drugs.
