Educator and expert in agroecology, she has been involved in food sovereignty and agroecology as activist,  trainer and researcher during the last 15 years.

At a national level, she is linked to REDINAM (Research Network to support Municipalism), Ecologistas en Acción and Baladre (Coordination of struggles  against social exclusion) . At a global level, she is Vice President and Advocacy officer of URGENCI (international network for community supported agriculture) and member of the editorial board of the right to food and nutrition watch. From this, she collaborated in various spaces such as publishing the observatory of rights to alimentation and nutrition.

During the last four years she has been the coordinator of CSM Working group on Food Systems and nutrition within the Committee on World Food Security (CFS). Within the CFS she is as well involved in the working group for Voluntary Guidelines on Gender equality and women’s empowerment.
