MECAMAT group has a new member, Pau Català Calderón, PhD. He joined UVIC-UCC after gaining a position in the framework of Serra Húnter Programme as an Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering, specialized in Mechanics. Pau Català obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), and since 2014 he was working at Fundació Privada Centre CIM, an UPC research centre dedicated to production technologies, such as subtractive manufacturing or additive manufacturing. His research interests are: cam mechanisms, linkage mechanisms, kinematics, dynamic analysis, machine design, and advanced manufacturing processes. Pau Català joined MECAMAT to strength the mechanical expertise within the group. Thanks to his arrival, all the disciplines of the mechatronics (mechanics, electricity, electronics, computer science) are fully covered with highly qualified experts, working together in a multidisciplinary motivated team.
