The EPS has changed its name and it also looks for a new Dean. Indeed, the Polytechnic School is named from now on Faculty of Sciences and Technology, a name that better emphasizes its dual character, that includes research, technology transfer and teaching in the areas of biosciences and engineering.
The process includes also the search for a new dean that takes the lead in transforming the center into a reference in its fields of expertise in the Catalan university system, and from it to the rest of the world. The current dean, Dr. Jordi Villà-Freixa, leaves the position to focus on his duties in the Vicerectorate for Research and Faculty.
The Faculty of Sciences and Technology is a vivid center that combines a deep sense of management responsability at all levels, advanced research and knowledge transfer, active outreach programs and multilevel (BSc, MSc and PhD) student-based teaching programs. We search for a proactive dean that will like to combine management of the center activities with her own research.
