IW’15- Robots and Mechatronic Systems

Wednesday, 10 June 2015

The 1st Robots and Mechatronic Systems seminar will be held the next 10th june 2015, during the 5th International Workshop on Higher Education at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) -9th to 12th june 2015-.

This seminar has been organized by Mecamat research group from U Science tech of Vic University. Currently, this research group has been working on two mechatronic research lines: collaborative robots and agile mechatronics methodology.

Collaborative robotics and mechatronic design methodologies are two examples of the evolution of research in Industry 4.0, allowing space sharing between robots and people, the greater amount of sensors controlling  loops closed security, greater integration of simulation in design phase and ease of programming of real equipment and automation systems. Human-robot collaboration is here, on the manufacturing floor, viable and successful. No more separation between man and robot. Welcome to smart factories.
