En l’actualitat és coordinadora d’Hèlia, associació feminista de lluita per l’eradicació de les violències masclistes a Catalunya i Palestina. En els darrers anys ha treballat en l’àmbit de l’economia feminista, participant en la publicació d’estudis relacionats amb la valorització del treball de cures i col·laborant en projectes i pràctiques locals d’economia feminista.[:en]
Elisa Covelo O’Neill holds a degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Gender and Development (Icei – UCM). She completed postgraduate studies in Culture of Peace (Unescocat – UAB) and in Mental Health in Situations of Political Violence (UCM). She has been coordinating projects for the promotion of social justice and the defense of human rights for more than ten years and is participating in social movements for a feminist social transformation.
She is currently the coordinator of Helia, a feminist association for the eradication of gender based violence in Catalonia and Palestine. In the past years she worked in the field of feminist economy, participating in the publication of studies related to the value and visibility of the work of care and collaborating in projects and local policies of the feminist economy.
