La presentació va comptar amb la participació de Montserrat Sánchez, subdirectora general de lluita contra la violència masclista (Generalitat de Catalunya); la directora de la Càtedra Sandra Ezquerra co-autora de l’estudi; Marta Venceslao co-autora de l’estudi, del Grup de Recerca sobre Exclusió i Control Social, GRECS (UB); i Margarida Fité, membre de l’equip d’investigació, de Dones Amb Empenta.

A la presentació es van presentar els principals resultats de la diagnosi d’una realitat complexa, marcada per l’exclussió i vulneració de drets, així com algunes orientacions per contribuir a una millora en l’atenció i acompanyament que reben les dones per part de diferents dispositius.

Thursday 10th September, the Diagnosis of Prostitution in Central Catalonia was presented virtually. An unpublished study about the practice of prostitution in the counties of Anoia, Bages and Osona, aimingg to know the reality, establish a diagnosis of the state of the issue and analyze the response from the public services and the third sector. The study was conducted with a qualitative methodological approach and involved the participation of 15 service professionals as well as 18 women exercising prostitution.

The presentation was composed of Montserrat Sánchez, Deputy Director General for the Fight against Gender-Based Violence (Generalitat de Catalunya); Chair Director Sandra Ezquerra co-author of the study; Marta Venceslao co-author, from the Research Group on Exclusion and Social Control, GRECS (UB); and Margarida Fité, member of the research team, from Dones amb Empenta. The presentation presented the main results of the diagnosis of a complex reality, marked by the exclusion and violation of rights, as well as some guidelines to contribute to an improvement in the care and support that women receive from different devices.
