TR2Lab is pleased to announce its participation in an upcoming training workshop focused on scientific research project writing, organised by the Centre for Innovation and Educational Training (CIFE) at UVic-UCC. The workshop will take place on Thursday 2 July and Friday 3 July 2026, from 9:00 to 13:00, at the Masia Torre dels Frares (UVic-UCC, Vic).

This face-to-face course is aimed primarily at secondary school teachers, especially those involved in supervising Treball de Recerca projects at upper secondary level. Participation is free of charge, and the activity is officially recognised by the Catalan Department of Education and Vocational Training, with a total duration of 8 hours.

The workshop is designed to provide participants with a clear and structured approach to writing a research project following the scientific model used by the academic community, applicable to any discipline. Although each research project follows its own unique path, adopting a shared scientific structure enables clearer, more rigorous, and more effective communication of research work.

The training combines theoretical sessions with hands-on practical exercises. The first session focuses on key elements such as the hypothesis, objectives, introduction, results, and discussion. The second session addresses conclusions, discussion, abstract, and title. Participants will practice writing different sections using provided data, review each other’s texts, and reflect collectively on common difficulties and typical mistakes encountered by students.

The main objectives of the workshop are to identify the different sections of the scientific model, understand their relevance, length, and logical order, apply the model to real research writing, and reflect on the rigor and clarity achieved through its use. Topics covered include the title, abstract, introduction, hypothesis, objectives, discussion, conclusions, acknowledgements, and bibliography.

The workshop will be delivered by  Bet Sarri Plans, PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, researcher, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine (UVic-UCC), coordinator of the basic cycle of the Medicine degree, and member of TR2Lab. Her expertise bridges biomedical research and education, aligning closely with TR2Lab’s commitment to scientific rigor and knowledge transfer.

Through its involvement in this initiative, TR2Lab reinforces its engagement with research education, teacher training, and the promotion of high-quality scientific methodologies, supporting educators in guiding students through the research process with confidence and academic rigor.
