ORCID: 0000-0003-3890-8279

Scientific Profile: URECERCA

Lluís Pujadas is an Associate professor at the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) and Adjunct professor at the University of Barcelona (UB). Also, as a resercher he is adscribed to the Institute for Research and Innovation in Life and Health Sciences in Central Catalonia (IRIS-CC) and Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red Sobre Enfermedades Neurodegenerativas (CIBERNED). He holds a Degree in Biochemistry (UB, 2000), a Ph.D in Neurosciences (UB, 2006), and a Master in University Teaching (IDP-UB, 2021).

Teaching responibilities of Lluís Pujadas at the UVic-UCC include Neurobiology at the Degree in Biomedicine; Physiology/Anatomy at the Degrees in Nursing and Physiotherapy; and Biomedicine for Engineers at the Master’s Degree in Health Data Science. At the UB, he teaches practices in histology at the Degree in Biomedical Sciences and contributes to the Official Master’s Degrees in Neurobiology and Biomedicine.

Currently, Lluís Pujadas is a member of te Academic Comission of the  Doctoral Program in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at UVic-UCC; a member of the Internal Scientific Committee of IRIS-CC as coordinator of the research area in Tissue Repair and Regeneration; and the coordinator of the Research Line in Neuronal Plasticity in Health of Disease at the TR2Lab.

The research career of Lluís Pujadas was initiated in neurodevelopmental studies and continued to unravel the protective role of developmental-reminiscent mechanisms in neurodegenerative pathologies as Alzheimer’s disease. Over the years he has been linked to several institutions as UB, IRB Barcelona, VHIR, CIBERNED, IRIS-CC and UVic-UCC and performed collaborative stages at UdL, UPO, TSRI and UCDavis. Lluís Pujadas has experience in leadership of transdisciplinary projects and is interested in translational research.

Regulation of young-adult neurogenesis and neuronal differentiation by neural cell adhesion molecule 2 (NCAM2)

Article: Regulation of young-adult neurogenesis and neuronal differentiation by neural cell adhesion molecule 2 (NCAM2) Authors: Antoni Parcerisas (co-primer autor) i Lluís Pujadas (co-autor de correspondència) Link: Regulation of young-adult neurogenesis and neuronal differentiation by neural cell adhesion molecule 2 (NCAM2) | Cerebral Cortex | Oxford Academic (oup.com) Abstract: Adult neurogenesis persists in mammals in the neurogenic zones, where newborn neurons are incorporated into preexisting circuits to preserve and improve learning and memory tasks. Relevant structural elements of the neurogenic niches include the family of cell adhesion molecules (CAMs), which participate in signal transduction [...]
