The project Role of human reelin in the mechanisms of beta-amyloid propagation, coordinated by the IRIS-CC and led by PhD. Lluís Pujadas, professor at the Faculty of Health and Welfare Sciences (FCSB) and member of TR2Lab, has obtained funding from the Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2022 call.

The research will be carried out in the TR2Lab research group with the participation of other researchers and researchers from the FCSB, the Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Engineering (FCTE) and Althaia. The project will last three years and is coordinated with a second project at the University of Barcelona with the shared objective of studying the neuroprotective role of the reelin protein in Alzheimer’s disease.

The results of the project will contribute to assessing the possible consideration of reelin as a therapeutic molecule in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
