She did a prospective observational study carried out in the Clinical Wound Unit of the Santa Creu de Vic University Hospital in patients with chronic or complex wounds. The aim was to observe the effect that autologous skin micrograft therapy has on complex wounds, and the relationship between micrograft therapy with quality of life, pain and wound area.
The outcomes showed that the use of autologous skin micrograft therapy seems to help wound healing in EEII and represents an efficient method for decreasing treatment time. Weekly treatments reduce the number of visits to health centers and the cost of personnel and medical equipment.
