Very proud of the nurse Clara Masó for the oral communication that she presented at the 5th Workshop on Wound Healing, celebrated in Vic, Catalonia, on June 11th, 2021.

Clara Masó presented an oral communication original titled “Analysis of the pathogenic microorganisms present in wounds with suspected infection in the Wound Clinical Unit of the University Hospital of Santa Creu de Vic”. (1)

In this communication, she discussed how important it is to suspect infection in a chronic wound even when it is in a state of chronic inflammation without showing the classic signs of infection. The detection and identification of microorganisms, through sampling, allows choosing a more appropriate treatment to contribute to a better evolution of the wound.

Congratulations Clara for such an achievement!
