University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC)

Mireia Canals-Botines is an expert on narrative structures related to Storytelling. She has written more than 30 children’s books, which have been translated into several languages. Her research field deals with gender and literature in education, particularly with the creation and analysis of narrative structures to bridge the gender gap. Mrs. Canals has a sound experience in leading European projects as she has coordinated European-funded projects, namely, Creative Europe, SUDOE, Erasmus + and Interreg Europe. Mireia Canals-Botines has also been an Expert for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) in 2018-2020, which provides consistent and consolidated advice to the Commission services regarding the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions on skills, training and career development.

 

 

Angel Raluy has been a lecturer at UVic-UCC for ten years. He participated in a Key Action 2 project called “Connect 2.0” (2015-2018), whose main aim was to create an innovative intercultural learning scenario for Erasmus students. He is currently a partner in a KA2 project (TOOLS), which focuses on providing educators with strategies and resources to favour inclusion in the EFL classrooms. On a more local note, he has taken part in an ARMIF project (2013-2016), a competitive grant called by the Catalan government, that aimed at improving foreign language standards in Teacher Training. He is head of the International Office at the Faculty of Education, Translation and Humanities.

 

 

 

Núria Medina-Casanovas has been a lecturer in Teaching English as a Foreign Language since 1988. Her research field deals with music and English as interdisciplinary work. She has published articles about the importance of using music to teach English as a foreign language. She is co-author of several English textbooks for Primary students and has organized several Seminars on Teaching English in Early Years and Primary education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Miquel Pujol-Tubau has been a lecturer in undergraduate and postgraduate online courses using e- platforms since 2008 and has also conducted Teacher Training for lecturers on creating virtual resources. His PhD thesis is focused on transmedia storytelling and character representation, a study that has been implemented in his courses on Didactics of Literature in the Primary Education degree. Mr. Pujol has extensive experience in Translation and Literary Studies and he is currently the Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Education, Translation, Sport and Psychology.

 

 

 

 

Università di Firenze (UNIFI)

Rossella Certini is Phd researcher in Educational Sciences. She teaches general pedagogy at the University of Florence and deals with the training of teachers, in every school level. Furthermore she teaches in the University course for educators, who work in non-formal educational systems. She has more than 40 scientific publications of a theoretical-pedagogical nature and her main field of study is “educational care”. She has participated in several national and international projects, such as the PRIN (Research Project of National Interest), the Erasmus+ Partnership for Excellence – Erasmus+ Teacher Academies. She is the Erasmus delegate of the School of Humanistic Studies and Education and effective member of the Scientific Committee of the University of the Free Age (UEL)

 

 

 

Cosimo Di Bari (PhD) is a Researcher in General and Social Pedagogy. He deals with Media Education, Outdoor Education, Pedagogy of Difference and Philosophy of Education. He has a PhD in Metodologies of edagogical research. Theory and Story, obtained at the University of Florence in 2011. He is interested in Media Education and particularly about the contribution of Umberto Eco, Neil Postman and other authors for deepening the discipline. He also studied the relationship between ICT and education and between digital technologies and childhood; the cultural mythologizing of childhood and the Olympism of Pierre de Coubertin; the “neo-Bildung” in the USA.

 

 

 

Eötvös-Loránd University (ELTE)

Currently, Valéria Arva teaches at the Faculty of Primary and Pre-school Education, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest. She is involved in training kindergarten and primary teachers for bilingual education, and teaching ESP for baby and infant caregivers. Her research interest is early childhood development, bilingual kindergarten education, English language children’s literature and teaching ESP. She holds a PhD from Language Pedagogyn at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest (ELTE). Earlier she worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher at an American international school in the Middle-East, and before this at Centre for English Teacher Training, ELTE.

 

 

 

Éva Trentinné Benkő, PhD is an associate professor at Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Primary and Pre-School Education, Budapest. She holds an MEd in TESOL (University of Leeds, UK) and a doctoral degree in education (ELTE, Faculty of Education and Psychology). Her PhD dissertation is on teacher training supporting early CLIL. She teaches courses including TEYL, children’s literature, bilingual education theory and practice, and CLIL methodologies and is responsible for EFL and CLIL internships. She has ten years of experience in primary EFL teaching and mentoring. She co-authored EFL coursebooks for young learners and The World at Their Feet: Children’s Early Competence in Two Languages Through Education. Her research interests include TEYL, educational bilingualism, teacher development and qualitative research methods. She is currently a member of the European Project ‘Writing for Inclusion’ and the MTA-ELTE research group focusing on primary digital language education.

Iryna Kohut – Head of the Department of Innovation and International Relations, Associate professor at the Department of Psychology of Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, practical psychologist, trainer, teacher of psychology and inclusive education, certified facilitator of the British Council in the «Active Citizens» program.

She has a sound experience in coordinating European-funded projects, namely, Erasmus + КА1, Erasmus + KA2, Erasmus Youth. She also administrates Erasmus+ KA 2 «Foreign Language Teacher Training Capacity Development as a Way to Ukraine’s Multilingual Education and European Integration» and Erasmus+ KA 2 «University teachers’ certification centres: innovative approach to promotion teaching excellence».

 

 

Rudych Oksana – Ph.D (candidate of pedagogical sciences), Associate professor of Department of Philological Disciplines and Methods of Teaching, International coordinator at the Faculty of Psychology and Pedagogy. She has been teaching a wide range of subjects (“Methods of teaching English in preschool educational establishments”, “English for professional purposes”, “Children’s literature”, “Modern technologies of   English Children’s literature use at primary school”) in Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University since 1998.

Her scientific interests embrace trends and methods of literature use, psychotherapeutic and rehabilitation impact of children’s book, creative writing in primary school, and interactive technologies of primary and preschool education. She has published more than 70 works (monographs, articles and reports). She also participated in several international projects and is a manager of PNPU team within “Writing for Inclusion”.

 

Les Pinediques

Cinta González Garcia has been an English primary school teacher for 25 years. She was the schoolhead teacher for 8 years. She was a lecturer at UVic-UCC for several years and now collaborates with this University giving talks and as a practicum and final degrees dissertations mentor. She has a degree in English Philology and a Master in didactics innovation. Her Master’s thesis is about motivation in second language adquisition. She has attended a series of training courses on different methodologies for improving her teaching.

 

 

 

Marta Ramírez Baró has been a primary school teacher for 19 years. She was the school director in Les Pinediques for 7 years. She has a degree in Psychopedagogy and has attended a series of training courses on different methodologies for improving her teaching.

Cristina Mannucci is a primary school teacher with a long experience in European projects, from Comenius programs to Erasmus projects, Erasmus contact person for the IC le Cure, in Florence.
Since the beginning of her professional career, she has been dealing with interculture, social inclusion and European citizenship. She loves traveling the world, reading and mountain biking.

 

 

Valentina Bonaccorsi is a primary school teacher living in Florence (Italy) and works in the Istituto Comprensivo Le Cure since 2007, where she teaches Italian, History, English and Art at fifth grade (10 – 11 years old). Hajnalka Harangozó is an English teacher and Head of the English Department at ’Dobsuli’ (Hungarian-English Bilingual School of Erzsebetvaros) in Budapest, Hungary. She is the Classteacher of a bilingual Year 6 class. Besides, she is a course book writer (SECRETS 1-4), an expert in Education and teacher trainer.

 

 

 

 

 

Dorottya Prinz has been teaching in a Erzsébetvárosi Bilingual School, Budapest since 2017. She studied the Primary education degree in Budapest and London. She mainly teaches English but as a primary school teacher, she also teaches other subjects. She strives to make her lessons playful and activity-based. She is especially interested in community building. Before starting to work as a teacher, she volunteered for non-profit organisations helping different groups of children with difficulties. In the last few years, she was responsible for the school’s Student Council and for organising programmes based on the students’ ideas.

Alla Koshliak has been working as an English teacher at Poltava Comprehensive school of I-III degree # 18 since 1998. She has performed a high level of commitment during her teaching activity. Being very devoted to her job she has initiated innovative teaching techniques to be implemented in her classes.

It has resulted in a wide range of seminars and workshops where Alla Koshliak organized group work for students, using games, music and drawing in learning English. Since 2018 she has been taking part in the project “New Ukrainian School” initiated by the Ministry of Education in Ukraine. The main goal of this project is to create a school in which it will be pleasant to study and which will give students not only knowledge, but also the ability to apply it in everyday life.

She dreamed of becoming a teacher since she was 6 years old. While teaching others, Olena is constantly learning herself. She participates in seminars, local and international projects: Internet safety, healthy nutrition, comfortable educational environment, information technologies.
