UTRON RACING CAR

Vehicle characteristics

Our first vehicle, the Horizon20 is a rear-wheel drive electric single-seater, with a power of 85Kw and a weight of less than 300 kg.
STATIC
Chassis: It is a simple, resistant, optimized, light and safe chassis. We can make these claims due to the performance of many finite element simulations (FEM) to verify that it complies with the regulations and therefore is 100% safe for the driver.
Bodywork: Designed using the most cutting-edge software in the sector. Taking aerodynamics as a priority, since it is the most important factor for a competition vehicle. This is the one that has been worked the most, performing numerous CFD simulations to obtain the best results.
PROPULSION
Engine: We use the EMRAX 208 engine, one of the best in power density, power delivery and efficiency on the market. It stands out for its dimensioning and its ease of handling and adaptations, which will be helpful in the different tests. Unlike combustion engines, it takes full advantage of the energy delivered and is not lost in the form of heat.
Batteries: Consists of 62 cells with excellent power capacity. It should be noted that it uses a technology in the development phase, in order to promote and commit ourselves to a more sustainable future without affecting its performance. The accumulator where they are installed is perfectly insulated with melamine and with a cooling system to avoid overheating.
DYNAMIC
Suspension: We enjoy a unique development of the Suspension system connected to the lower wishbone, seeking a balance between functionality and available resources. Achieving great versatility and performance of the system thanks to the different iterations and simulations carried out.
Steering: The steering system has been designed from the suspension assembly. The design is based on the range of components from the suppliers we work with, to guarantee their availability when designing and manufacturing the car.
