Storytelling and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)

The conference will be held at the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia (Vic, Barcelona) on November 27, 2025, with both in-person and online participation options. It offers an opportunity to explore the role of ESG narratives for sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical governance.

Conference Objective

The main objective of the 8th International Conference “Storytelling Revisited” is to advance the understanding of how storytelling shapes, communicates, and supports environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The conference seeks to promote critical reflection on the power of narratives to inspire action, provide transparency, and foster sustainable and ethical behaviors across companies, institutions, and society at large.

This international event offers an excellent opportunity for researchers and professionals to share their findings, discuss new theories and practices, and collaborate on innovative approaches that position storytelling as a key driver for sustainability and social responsibility.

This edition will focus on three thematic areas:

  • Storytelling & Environmental: Narratives about sustainability, climate change, drought, and responsible resource management.
  • Storytelling & Social: Narratives that promote diversity, inclusion, fair working conditions, and address social challenges such as migration.
  • Storytelling & Governance: Narratives that promote ethical governance, transparency, accountability, and corporate social responsibility.
