Past Friday, the UST hosted the Bioday & Biophy… zza!, a day of events dedicated to Biology and Biotechnology students organized in the framework of the Biophysics Week (#biophysicsweek) the international action to promote the field of biophysics.
More than a hundred students participates in the activities of the day, which began with a talk by Josep Maria Porrà, business performance director of the video
game company King, and continued with the presentations of the research groups of the Faculty and two round tables on professional outings. We ended up with a BioPhy … zza! luncheon , kindly offered by Casa Tarradellas.
Among the activities of the Bioday & Biophy… zza!, we also organized an Instagram contest addressed to students of the UVic with the hashtag #bioconcursuvic.
The event was organized by the coordinators and the delegates of the degrees of Biology and Biotechnology, the Quantitative BioImaging (QuBI Lab) research group, with the support of the UST, the Vicerrectorate for Research and Transfer of Knowledge and the OTRI.
After the success of this year, we are looking forward to the next one!
