Dr. Oriol Gallego opens the 2018 UST seminar series by giving a talk entitled Live-cell structural biology: towards the mechanics of exocytosis. In his wonderful presentation – based on a recent publication in the prestigious journal Cell – Oriol described the advantages of the PICT technique (“Protein interactions from Imaging Complexes after Translocation”) that enables  the detection and the quantitative description of macromolecular interactions in vivo.
