As part of his Degree Final Project (DFP), carried out within the MECAMAT research group at UVic/UCC, Javier Chacón developed a prototype of a robotic hand. The project arises out of the current state of the market, as well as of the shortcomings detected by the users, and aims to propose improvements in both the design and construction of the robotic hands currently available in the market.
This has deserved Javier Chacón, who graduated last year in the double degree in Mechatronics and Industrial Electronic, the Eusebi Molera Prize, which was awarded November 14, 2018 at a ceremony held in the Segimon Serrallonga room of the UVic. The Eusebi Molera Award is given every year by  Col·legi Professional d’Enginyers Tècnics Industrials i Graduats de Manresa (CETIM) to the best DFP by students of the Engineering degrees at the UVic-UCC.
