Albert Cantó and Sergi Vilaseca are two students of the Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics Engineering who are very interested in the automotive industry. So when, they were aware that the research group MECAMAT had a gearbox donated by taller Autoscratch (www.tallerautoscratch.com, www.facebook.com/tallerautoscratch) they offered to prepare, clean, analyse and dissemble this gearbox, so it can be used safety and clean in practical lessons in subjects related with mechanics.

Albert Cantó joined during 50 h at MECAMAT during the period and Sergi Vilaseca helped him occasionally. After the works students has been aware of the high knowledge applied for developing a functional car gearbox.

MECAMAT is very grateful with the generosity of both students and taller Autoscratch located at Santa Eugènia de Berga.

This experience is a good example of practical projects that MECAMAT wants to put for engineering students of UVic-UCC, so they have the chance to put in practice theoretical knowledge seen on the subjects.
