The MECAMAT research group has become Associated Partner of CHeLabS – Cultural Heritage Laboratory System, an international initiative led by the institutes IDASC, ITABC, and ISC of the Italian National Research Council. The aim of CHeLabs is to develop an innovative system for Cultural Heritage by promoting a knowledge based advancement of the safeguard and valorisation process. CHeLabS is intended to become a sort of distributed laboratory, attracting competencies and generating excellence, built on the Open Access and Sharing culture. Among others, the MECAMAT will contribute to the CHeLabS initiative by sharing its knowledge acquired within the project smARTS – Smart Technology for Analysis and Monitoring of Cultural Heritage Materials.
