From 16 to 18 June 2019, the researchers Judit Molera from MECAMAT, Oscar Cambra and Julia Audije from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and María Canillas from CSIC-Instituto de Cerámica y Vidrio and Miquel Colomer from Universitat de Barcelona in collaboration with Oriol Vallcorba from the ALBA Synchrotron have performed the micro-XRD detailed measurements in MSPD line to study fossil crocodylomorph tooth and bones from the Upper Cretaceous. The MSPD beamline (BL04) suits the requirements for this study: high brilliance, 30keV energy X-rays, transmission geometry, small spot size (10×10μm) and online visualization system of the sample.

The student Adrian Montealegre from Universitat de Vic, which is realizing Traineeship in Mecamat Group during summer 2019, came to ALBA Synchrotron on 17th of July to participate in the project.
