The main topic is knowing the pain experienced by patients with cancer, treated in the daycare oncohematology hospital *HDOH within the HUV. It also involves the expectations in pain management of patients and carers. The purpose of the study is to understand from the patient experience and carers how to live with pain to find an answer to their self-caring necessities and pain management. Using a convenience sampling, including volunteering patients and carers over 18 years old, with a cancer diagnosis, who manifested ≥4 pain as represented in the numeric scale and are willing to participate.

The data will be collected from a semi-structured interview and will be addressed to patients and carers. The interview will be individualized. The study aims to achieve data from all kinds of patients looked after in the oncology department of HDOH. The audio from those interviews will be recorded after the signed concern form. Once we have enough data we will proceed to analyze it creating a literal transcription from the interviews, always following the objectives and methodology of the study.
