She works as a Professor at the Department of Social Sciences and Community Health, Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellbeing in the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia and member of the research group on methodology, methods, models of health and social outcomes (M3O).

She holds a PhD in Sociology from University of Barcelona and is extensively trained in research techniques applied to social sciences and data analysis, both qualitative and quantitative in which she has research experience. She carried out research stays at the Department of Sociology, University of Arizona, and at the Centre for European Studies, Harvard University. Her main area of expertise is social determinants of health, area in which she worked on several projects with European funding, among them ALICERAP about addiction policies in Europe. She has 10 published articles, 1 book, 10 book chapters, more than 30 works presented at conferences. She is currently involved in the supervision of four PhD theses.

She holds a master’s degree in University Teaching with a final project about measuring and evaluating the teamwork competence. She has also published articles as well as teaching innovation projects.

Research areas: research design, qualitative and quantitative methods, social determinants of health, public health and quality of life.
