Mutual-Learning Internal Training (MLIT)

During our second day, we had the pleasure of starting our Mutual Learning Internal Training session after a warm welcome by Eva Espasa Borrás, vice-rector of Research and Knowledge Transfer at Universitat de Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya, who pointed out the relevance of researching intersectionality in connection to pedagogy by producing adaptable tools such as those proposed by the InterHEd project. We had different workshops on intersectionality and intersectional practices by all partners in the day that led us to diverse discussions on how contextual differences widen or not what is innovative regarding intersectional pedagogies, as well as how to approach inequalities without reproducing the dynamics that foster them to begin with. Towards the end of the day, we had the pleasure of attending an EU projects roundtable with some guests that explored discussions and projects related to the objectives of our project while connecting to diverse disciplines:

• Ariadna Graells Sans, who introduced her work on intersectionality as a fundamental approach to patient treatment within the healthcare system and reflected on the importance of applying intersectional lenses to the education journey of healthcare professionals COM INTRUIR LA INTERSEC ALS ESTUDIS INFERMERES
• Nicole Haring, who introduced her research about intergenerational storytelling on gender and education, as well as the interconnectedness between gender and ageing.
• Rachel Palmen, who introduced us to the project INSPIRE: The European Centre of Excellence on Inclusive Gender Equality in Research and Innovation she currently coordinates as a senior researcher at the Gender and ICT group (GenTIC) of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) Internet Interdisciplinary Institute.
