WATCH the ‘Speak on Screen’ Open Session + Roundtable in our Media section

On December 10th, 2025, the workshop series Speak on Screen: Translating Audiovisual Content in Minority Languages, led by RISE UP & HOW TIMELY, concluded with an open event highlighting the outcomes of the programme. The session brought together screenings of participants’ subtitled videos, reflections on their creative journeys, and an expert roundtable moderated by Mònica Perenya (Linguapax), where Cadi Catlow (Talking Planet), Maria Montroy Ferré (UJI/UAB), and Enrique Uribe-Jongbloed (Cardiff University, Plurilingmedia WG1), explored how audiovisual media in minoritized languages can strengthen speaker communities, support language education, and contribute to revitalisation efforts.
