Once again, the main project for the social media students this year was to create a community based on Erasmus and UVic using the social media channels.
In general, they did an amazing job, creating the communities, planning contents, thinking about strategies to grow and engage and measuring the results. Next, I’ll try to summarize the best social media projects of this edition.
Viscat
Kevin De Wilde, Frederic Zottnick, Stefan Alexander Mayer and Marc-Xavier Cadevall Soto did a fabulous work, creating an online Catalunya travel guide for Erasmus students, including information about what to see and what to do in our country. They used a website, a facebook page and an Instagram account.
Erasmuscuisine
The Erasmuscuisine team: Jane Behem, Marjne Visser and Zahra Askary, worked on a community based on the idea of giving students inspiration about what kind of meals to prepare and eat out while studying abroad, using a website and an Instagram account. They did a very good job collecting recipes and outlining the experience that they had in different restaurants.
Erasmus Stories
The team of Erasmus stories, Henna Harala, Lisa Marie Manigatterer and Roger Tubau created a community about gatherings, experiences, funny moments and tips about living in Spain as an Erasmus student. For this purpose, they used a witty and entertaining Facebook page.
Meet and fun
The community created by Marina Sànchez, Marta Saló and Cristina Tengo was about meeting people and having fun among Erasmus students. To highlight other similar communities, they used? Facebook and Instagram, but, above all, Pinterest, where they managed to have more than 600 followers.
The rest of the projects of the class done by students who also did a wonderful job were Cat Tips, Tips on trips, My Words, Erasmus sea and Erasums Xperience.
Finally, I would like to thank all the groups for the effort and the enthusiasm dedicated to making their project a reality.
