Cristina Ylla. Professora del Departament de Comunicació

This year for the first time in the Social Media subject we outlined to the students to create a social media project unifying these two concepts: culture and Vic

The resulting projects were amazing; here we attached the best ones:

Cat_Cult

The group formed by Janika Bleche, Samuel O’Connell and Maran Korteling created a community to promote the Catalan culture. They have developed this project with keenness from the beginning, and the results they accomplished reflex it: 241 fans in its facebook page in 3 months and the most important thing in the digital world: engagement with the community. The key success factor for this community was the motivation and the creativity of the content.

Social Media1

Vic Cuisine

The student group of Vic Cuisine performed a hard work to promote local cuisine. Ana Cecila Mena, Alessandra Willingsdorfen and Jöelle Fanzi visited a lot of restaurants in Vic to show to foreign the local cooking. They also managed the PR to promote the project visiting the Vic Tourism and other local organizations that promote the local activities. They did an amazing work of investigation and taking pictures of our best restaurants.

Social Media2

The other projects of the class were Forvicers, FestVic, KitUVic and TTT.

We hope next year we can come with more interesting projects done by social media students.
