Corpas presents the importance of good storytelling and adapting to changes in the industry while emphasizing the value of self-belief.

Sports journalist and communication manager with 6Pointer, Andrés Corpas, visited the second-year students of the Journalism degree in the subject of Spoken English for Journalism of The University of Vic. The journalist began the presentation with discouraging statements such as “You can’t do it” and “Don’t try it,” but then shifted to more positive examples of his own experiences.

Corpas discussed the evolution of journalism, which remains the same despite the significant changes that have occurred. In this line, he highlighted the importance of good storytelling and how journalists should strive to find human factors and amazing stories to share with their audience. Andrés encouraged aspiring journalists to believe in their ideas and try to find their style as journalists.

Overall, Andrés Corpas emphasized the importance of being different and urged the students to never lose faith in themselves. He concluded the presentation on the changing landscape of journalism, reminding the students that they “Can do it” and they must “Try it”.
