Acte de difusió del projecte europeu Interdisciplinary Cooperation in Psychosocial Interventions for Refugees – InterAct

On 16th of December 2020, it will take place the dissemination event of the European Union funded project InterAct: INTERDISCIPLINARY COOPERATION IN PSYCHOSOCIAL INTERVENTIONS FOR REFUGEES.
It is an event organized jointly by UVic-UCC (CESS, FCSB and Chair of Mental Health), with the European Network of Occupational Therapy in Higher Education (ENOTHE). The event has the collaboration of the Secretariat of Equality, Migration and Citizenship of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
The event will present the most important results of the project, developed from 2018 to 2020. The aim has been to create educational material for students and practitioners interested in the field of psychosocial support in Europe, a manual for psychosocial workers, a document of policy recommendations, and an online exhibition. The participating institutions have been UVic-UCC; Karolinska Institutet (Sweden); IB University of Applied Health and Social Sciences (Germany); National University of Athens (Greece); HCI Productions (Finland).
During the event Mireia Vall, Secretary of Equality, Migration and Citizenship, will give the lecture “Present and future of migration in Europe”. There will be a panel of European experts on the subject of psychosocial support with refugees with the participation of Francisco Collazos (Hospital Vall d’Hebron), Nadine Blankvoort (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences) and Theo Bogeas (HumanRights360).
Sarah Scheer (IB University of Applied Health and Social Sciences) and Salvador Simó (UVic-UCC) will present the results of the project. Additionally, Margarita Mondaca (Karolinska Institutet) and Ursula Costa (University of Applied Science Tyrol) will present the results of the Node refugee project, in which UVic-UCC has also participated.
The Vice-Chancellors Josep Bau and Jordi Collet will be in charge of opening the event, presenting and moderating the debate with the Secretary General of Migration, respectively. On behalf of ENOTHE, its president Soemitro Poerbodipoero will take part in the opening of the event; and its Vice President Maria Kapanadze will moderate the panel of experts.
Marc Sanye will present the photographic exhibition of the project, created from his work. Disabled Refugees Welcome photo project and IB University of Applied Health and Social Sciences’ video will be also presented.
The closing will be made by Míriam Torres, Dean of the FCSB and Salvador Simó, Adjunct Director of the Chair of Mental Health at UVic-UCC.
