The example of the Agricultural Sustainability Institute at UC Davis University of California, was explained its founding director Tomas T. Tomich, during the “Higher Education in Agroecology and food systems” seminar hosted last Wednesday in the framework of the International Workshop on Higher Education. Tomich presented proposals academic center, which he defined as a “hub of sustainable initiatives and education in sustainable agriculture and food systems“, among which have a real farm where they are students.
