This week, our Wound Clinical Unit, in collaboration with other centers of the “Fundació Hospital Santa Creu de Vic” (HUSC, Residència El Nadal and Residència ST Hipòlit), has carried out some activities on the occasion of the 5th World Wide Pressure Ulcer Prevention Day (Link).

One of the outstanding activities was an informative session open to all professionals: “Where are we? Where do we want to go?” given by Marta Ferrer, Núria Dalmau, and Helena Sureda. The talk about where we are to UPP prevention and what future projects are underway.

During the previous week, we collected the opinion of professionals about different questions related to pressure ulcers (UPP): How do you think that a patient with UPP feels? What are you doing to prevent pressure ulcers in your job? With this collected information, posters were made and distributed to all HUSC centers.

During the World Wide Pressure Ulcer Prevention Day, some pins were distributed to wear for the whole working day in order to commemorate this celebration.
