Proposal: Chronic ulcers are a growing problem in our society and the aim of multiple studies and scientific publications that describe different treatments and lines of study. One of the lines of study found in actual literature describes the effect of beta-blockers as promoters of tissue regeneration in chronic ulcers resistant to various treatments. Betablockers are drugs widely used in the clinic as hypotension drugs, in the treatment of congestive heart failure, angina or arrhythmias. Due to its extensive clinical use, it is easy to find ulcerated patients who take this medication. The objective of this TFG is to carry out a retrospective study based on the data obtained from the database of the Wound Care Unit at the Universitary Hospital of the Santa Creu de Vic / UVic-UCC that allows to analyze the possible association between the beta-blockers intake and the healing of wounds.

Proposal: Ulcers are wounds with a very complex and varied evolution conditioned by their ethilogy, other pathologies of the patient, age and other factors that are still unknown. To bring light to this interesting topic, it is important to learn to identify the different types of ulcers, the different techniques and treatments used and also to make a correct recording of variables to be able to do scientific studies.
