Ester Goutan Roura

Coordinator of the Health conditions and tissue regeneration research line in the TR2Lab

Associate Professor at the Methodology and Basic Sciences Department at the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC) where sheteaches Pharmacology in Nursing, Physiotherapy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics degrees.

After her degree in Pharmacy, she began her research career on Neurobiology at the Institute of Neuropathology (IDIBELL-Hospital of Bellvitge) where she got her PhD.  At present, she has reoriented her research towards the clinical study of those health conditions that affect tissue repair. Higher Education Teaching and Innovative Teaching are both among her research interests. In this field, she has been a member of the scientific committee of CIDUI (International Conference on University Teaching and Innovation), attended international conferences and received various teaching innovationgrants.  At the TR2Lab, she coordinates the research line “Health conditions and tissue regeneration. Moreover, she is responsible for the Academic Support and Orientation Unit dedicated to students’ collaborations.  

Since joining UVic in 2007, she has held several management positions and she has contributed to the academic degree and post-degree design.  Since April 2017, she became the Faculty of Health Sciences and Welfare representative at the COHEHRE (Consortium of Institutes of Higher Education in Health and Rehabilitation in Europe) to promote research within the consortium.

EHECADI partners move forward in Oliveira

Last January 26th and 27th 2023, Ester Goutan and Montse Romero traveled to Olivera de Azeméis, where they met at the Escola Superior de Saúde Norte da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa with the international partners of the EHECADI project. The project aims to support healthcare students from different disciples to address broad societal health issues in their studies. During this transnational meeting the partners agreed the framework of their online Knowledge Hub and they discussed the development of guidelines to help students complete their International Final Graduate Dissertation. Ester Goutan has participated as part of the defense of Anna Torne’s doctoral thesis

This last week, Ester Goutan, coordinator of the Health conditions and tissue regeneration research line, has been part of the defense of Anna Torné's doctoral thesis, which has been developing a project that focuses on the study of fragility, and the results of health.
