The lecturer and TR2Lab member Ester Goutan Roura was invited by the M3O Research group to give a speech about “How to bring research closer to our undergraduate students”. The speech was included in the M3O Research Seminars. The topic of the speech was to share TR2Lab experience in student mentoring.
Since its creation in 2015, TR2Lab has focused on student research formation as one of the main group objectives. To present, the group has mentored as many as 26 students in different research formation stages ranging from internships, degree thesis, master thesis and doctorate thesis. In order to give students a better guiding and formation, the group created a special unit: ASOA (Assessorament I Orientació Acadèmica -Advice and Academic Orientation-) whose responsible person is the group member Ester Goutan Roura. Among its many functions, ASOA cares about the formal aspects of student bonding as well as the many activities the group offers to them. At TR2Lab, we do believe in students’ mentoring as a way of growing together!
